Nama grup Andra & The Backbone sudah dikenal luas. Lagu hits Musnah dan Sempurna benar-benar meledak. Kini mumpung sedang di atas angin, grup ini melempar album kedua, Season 2. Lagu Main Hati yang bersumber dari curhat teman awak grup ini dijadikan andalan.

"Lagu Main Hati ini kita pikir cukup kuat untuk menggantikan lagu Sempurna. Beberapa lagu mirip Sempurna juga ada di album ini," kata Andra Ramadhan, gitaris Andra & The Backbone, dalam peluncuran album kedua mereka di Hard Rock Cafe, Plaza EX, Jakarta Pusat, Rabu (9/4) sore.

Lagu tersebut diilhami curahan hati Q-noi, salah seorang rekan Andra dkk yang menjadi additional player. "Q-noi curhat kisah cintanya ke kita. Terus kita coba bikin lagunya dan ternyata enak. Akhirnya, kita minta izin ke Q-noi untuk memasukkan lagu ini di album kedua," jelas Andra didampingi Deddy Lisan (vokal), Stevie Item (gitar), dan Ahmad Dhani selaku Presiden Republik Cinta Manajemen (tempat bernaung Andra & The Backbone).

Andra pun optimistis lagu itu bisa menggantikan lagu Musnah dan Sempurna (di album perdana). Penggarapan album kedua ini lebih cepat dibandingkan album pertama.

"Penggarapannya cuma makan waktu tiga bulan. Lalu kita kebut lagi sebulan terakhir. Sekarang kita lebih menyatu dan sudah tahu karakter masing-masing. Kalau di album pertama kita baru saling kenal, belum akrab," katanya pada Warta Kota.

Album Season 2 ini memuat 10 lagu plus satu lagu berbentuk instrumentalia. Secara teknis pembuatan album baru ini tidak menemui kendala berarti, karena hampir 60 persen yang terlibat adalah orang-orang dari proyek album perdana. Di sana juga masih ada Yoyo 'Padi' yang ikut membantu mengisi permainan drum untuk lagu Sahabat dan 3 Keajaiban.

Menyangkut strategi pasar, Andra dkk melempar album kedua di saat sekarang ini, menurut Ahmad Dhani merupakan strategi yang pas. Artinya rentang waktu 12 bulan dari album sebelumnya merupakan waktu yang cukup untuk melempar album baru.
