Muse - Black Holes and Revelations

Setelah absen 3 tahun sejak Absolution, album ke-4 Muse yang berjudul 'Black Holes and Revelations' adalah album comeback yang dahsyat. Para fans setia sempat ketar-ketir ketika banyak review menyebutkan perubahan yang cukup signifikan di album ini. Tapi jangan khawatir, perubahan yang dilakukan Muse sangat positif, tanpa menanggalkan ciri khas musikalitas mereka untuk semata mencapai mainstream.

Album ini mencampur berbagai warna musik tanpa mengganggu kenyamanan telinga. Simfoni rock disajikan secara membara, sekaligus membawa musik mereka ke wilayah yang lebih gelap. Basically, nyawa album ini masih terletak pada aransemen rock yang dahsyat. Mereka tetap fasih membungkus banyak bunyi dengan harmonis. Walaupun terdengar beda, musik mereka tetap kelam, masih terdengar putus asa, dan, in a way, kontemplatif. Seperti album-album Muse lainnya, Black Holes and Reservations pun bukan album yang fun atau easy-listening (Muse tak akan pernah jadi easy-listening). Jadi, hai kamu fans setia yang asyik berkeluh kesah tentang perubahan warna musik, tak usahlah terlalu khawatir. Musik Muse masih sangat layak dengar, sama seperti gebrakan fenomenal mereka di Absolution.
