Silverchair - Young Modern

Silverchair is back! Grup rock asal negeri Kangguru ini telah berhasil mengubah image nya dari rocker anak-anak menjadi rocker sungguhan.

Perubahan yang drastis bagi Silverchair, setelah libur panjang akibat penyakit yang diderita vokalisnya, Daniel Johns. Dialbum ini mereka memainkan musik yang cukup progressive.

Tak hanya itu, di album terbarunya yang bertajuk "Young Modern" ini Daniel Johns (vokal & gitar), Ben Gilles (drum) dan Chris Joannou (bass) juga menghabisi nuansa popular rock dari akar musik mereka, hingga tak bisa disamakan dengan grup lainnya. Meski jadinya kurang komersil, Silverchair tampak tak ragu berteriak lantang!

Album ini hanya pendewasan setelah mencoba bereksperimen di album sebelumnya. Hasilnya, dengar saja track pembuka 'Young Modern Station' dan lagu yang menjadi single utama mereka 'Straight Lines'. Kita tidak saja disuguhkan permainan yang menghentak, da beberapa lagu yang cukup ballad seperti 'Reflection Of A Sound' dan sebuah lagu medley yang asyikseperti 'Those Thieving Birds (Part 1) / Strange Behavior / Those Thieving Birds (Part 2)'.
